Reading Notes A: Tales of a Parrot: Khojisteh and the Parrot

Reading A:
·         A prince named Ahmed had everything he could ever need.
·         He did not have any kids and wanted them.
·         Finally, he had a son and he named him miemun.
·         He grew up and got married to Khojisteh.
·         They were inseparable.
·         He bought a parrot at the marketplace.
·         The parrot convinced the guy to buy him and so he did.
·         He then bought another bird because he enjoyed the conversation with the other parrot.
·         He planned a long voyage and his wife was sad and lonely.
·         She didn’t sleep or do anything.

·         The parrot would tell her stories on stories to keep her distracted.
