Growth Mindset: Week 1
Growth mindset was something that I had not heard of before the first class I took of yours. I remember doing some of the assignments last Fall and enjoyed learning about it. I think the one thing that stuck out to me most was the statement, "Make challenge the new comfort one." That explained it all and showed me that we need to have a mindset where growth is not a scary idea or something to be scared of. The more we allow our minds to grow, the more we chose to learn and live. Remembering back to the semester I took this class I think growth mindset was my favorite topic to explore and learn about. I did a lot towards the end of the semester and it really helped me. hopefully this semester I can learn and grow even more.

I also came across the idea of growth mindset last summer when I took the other class. I think it's such a cool idea and an important one to keep close to yourself. If you don't believe you can grow and become better, you'll always be the same person. I think it's important to always believe you can grow as a person and be better. There's never something you can't do.
ReplyDeleteI always think its really hear about someone who wasn't familiar with Growth Mindset before this course. I was actually someone who had already had some exposure prior to this course, but I since expanded my knowledge about it. I think its really cool that you've found a motto to make that type of attitude more concrete to you. I think you will only continue to expand upon your understanding of the concept as I did and continue to do. I read in your introduction that you will be graduating soon so I hope that you can take this approach with you in your future endeavors. I know that I will.
